Monday Round-Up

Holy Amazing! Once again, the Kaibab Community had a great weekend.

In California, iPup Tagg rocked it in agility, picking up 40 PACH points and another QQ.

Congratulations to Team Tag!

And back east, Sparkler Kiri had an amazing weekend. Four days of shows with a lovely entry of Specials (Champions and Grand Champions showing in the Best of Breed ring) and she was in the ribbons every day for 17 more points towards her Bronze Grand Championship. Always Owner-Handled, Kiri also received a NOHS Group Placement as well.

Congratulations to Team Kiri on an incredible weekend.

In the Heartland, Hal practiced a yoga move he learned from his Sparkler sister, Abbie — it is called Downward Abbie.

Excellent form, Hal — Abbie is clearly a good teacher.

Meanwhile in Montana, I watch anxiously for signs that Sparkle is coming into season. Any day now.

HAPPY MONDAY to you!

An Amazing Birthday!

Eleven years ago the Glitterati arrived on the earth to spread love and joy. Like all things Life, their presence also brought tears as each lived their lifetime and left; three in the past year.

We remember the ones who have left us on what would have been their eleventh birthday here on earth: Murphy, Mika, Sydney, Ruben, Zaida, Rainy, and Tara. Happy Birthday to each of them — we remember them always, with love.

AND we celebrate their brother, Cooper, on the occasion of his eleventh birthday! Jennifer sends us this update:

“I’m not quite sure what to say or where to start. This boy holds my heart. His birthday is such a celebration but also such a reminder of time passing and what’s still to come. I find myself being happy and sad with each day of his life. Cooper took me on my very first trip to Montana and Utah. He took me to my first Draft Test and on a journey that brought new, dear friends to our life. He helps to keep memories of our beloved Mesa always fresh.

Cooper Whitbey. One of my kid’s friends said Cooper is the best dog because he’s so happy that you can’t help but feel happy around him.

Cooper loves his sticks. He can’t move as fast as he used to so he also likes to stand in the yard and bark while things are going on around him. But most of all he loves laying around the house waiting for his next belly scrub. He can still go for a walk in the mountains and pee on all the trees but it takes him a few days to recuperate. But just try to keep him out of the truck (even though he can’t get in by himself anymore:)

This dog. I love every day of all eleven years of him.

A very HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Cooper — they do not come much kinder than him or more wonderful than his terrific family.

Family Photos

Thanks to Dianne for sending these photos from the draft weekend at the Bohligs in CA. This first one is Sparkler Jordan with her Uncle Jumar (age 10+!) — they passed Novice Brace all three days.

Jumar and Jordan are an amazingly consistent team — and that earned Jordan her ANBDD title. Congratulations Team J&J!

Jordan also teamed up with Margaret Jezek’s boy, Stigen, for Jordan’s Open Brace title.

I love how Berner People help each other achieve goals — gratitude to Margaret and Well Done, Team Jordan/Stigen!

Team rePete/Karma were successful in scoring the dog bed on which to practice their long, long, long stays…

They practice a lot and are very good at that particular exercise.

Karma graciously condescended to allow Claire a small piece of the dog bed in which to chew…

Or maybe not so graciously judging by the look of her feline face…

Sweet Daisy loves to nurse on Stuffies…

I have never had one do this and I have to say — it is endearing and adorable, even if the Stuffie is always a wet, soggy mess.

What’s a little spit between family?

I was having A Day yesterday and so the Universe felt the need to send me a reminder…

And so I ordered some Love Beads and tie-dye.

I hope your day is a Happy One — or if you prefer, a really Hippy One.

Better yet — both!
