Starry and her brothers are almost six months old — amazing. I love this age. There is nothing that Starry does that I don’t find charming.
Countersurfs to find random things to bring to me? Clever Girl!
Doesn’t come the first time when I call her from the yard? Love the confidence and independence.
The other day at the park she snuffled in a pile of leaves before emerging to present me with a dead squirrel. She has a great nose ⭐️
Starry G loves everyone and everything. I wouldn’t change a thing about her. She is beautiful and smart and kind.
Her tracking training — all hard surfaces, no vegetation — is blowing my mind. Starry is a fast learner and a great problem solver. She is also an amazing retriever, which is a promising behavior that portends a strong working dog.
I am having a blast with her.
A couple of things I want to mention. First, Capella’s ultrasound to see if she is pregnant is the week of December 8. I will, of course, let you know.
Second, please don’t worry if I do not post much right now. I promise we are all just fine. As some know, I am in the middle of a writing project — I even have an official book coach! I am spending most of my available time right now working on it, trying to finish up the first draft before the spring semester begins 🍀
Happy Saturday and look for the Gem’s six months update next week 💙💙💙🩷
