At the risk of sounding like a commercial…

This is a video from one of the security cameras last night. I was on the phone with Dear Daughter (using AirPods) when I let Harper and Pozy in — watch with sound to follow the action.

Harper has not been able to get up from uncovered floors for a while. She whines to let me know when she needs help to get up, and I also have area rugs upstairs to give her traction so she can get up on her own.

But that video was downstairs where we do not spend time — all she has to do is walk on the floor to go in and out if I am using the downstairs yard. (Note new floor, new door, and new paint!). To see her get up from that floor?!

Wow.

#librela

I am a believer.

She also gets Rimadyl twice a day since the drugs work differently, and she is 12.5+ so any long-term effects (Librela is new) are not a significant concern. For Harper, this drug is a game changer.

Now, I also want to mention my clothes as a way to save you money and help the planet.

One of my wonderful sisters started this Sontag fashion trend by sending us all Land’s End Serious Sweats. They are lined with sherpa fleece and so, yes — they have a Michelin Man effect.

But it means I keep my house very cool — in the 50’s usually — because I am plenty warm. Cooler house means less use of heaters — I save money and feel virtuous (and cozy). Perfect!

The Serious Sweats are spendy but we watch for sales and just buy whatever wild colors or patterns are available. The goal is to be warm — not to attend the Met Gala, after all!

I hope you have a cozy day!
