Harper B and I headed out for a sniff.
Since we were just going down the dirt road to a nearby field she got to ride loose in the van. Daring!
Harper B for Be 12 Soon is not only my oldest Berner ever, she is the only old Berner I have had who wasnโt dealing with a health issue in older age.
Knock on wood ๐, Harper is just aging. Not sick and aging โ just aging.
That could change, of course, but her recent exam and bloodwork were all just normal.
I have been envious of friends who have dogs that die of old age and not some wicked cancer.
โWhat would that be like?โ I wondered.
I still donโt know the answer.
But I do know what it is like to have a creaky but healthy almost 12-year-old Berner.
Itโs amazing.
I am so lucky ๐
And I wish the same for all of us.
