There are 95 training days until the Specialty — how is that going for you?
I love deadlines because they establish parameters within which we can work. They force us to translate our hopes and wishes into aspirations that become realistic and focused — and therefore, accomplishable.
That doesn’t mean we give up dreaming our Big Dreams — NEVER! But a deadline will force us to consider which part of the Big Dream will be our priority right now, and that is how things get done.
Sparkle will be attending the Specialty and will show up in a couple of easy peasy events….
…but her priority for the Specialty is to be pregnant.
Harper B for Be Going to Minnesota has other priorities for the Specialty.
We hope she will be competing in multiple performance events. Ball chewing. Draft. Obedience. Rally. Farm Dog. If there is room for titled dogs and she is lucky, she will be entered in tracking.
Daisy will likely be attending her first Specialty and may do one event but her focus is not the Specialty this year.
Achievement requires those Big Dreams while also staying grounded in what is realistic. My training for Specialty performance events this year will be focused on Harper and Claire.
Claire will be doing multiple events — performance and beauty pageant.
I hope we draw a TDX track. I hope she will be ready for Novice B obedience. Novice Rally. Draft. Farm Dog. Various Beauty Pageant events. Claire will be busy.
One major reason we switched things around with this website and blog is because we had to turn off comments on the old site due to spam. The comment option on this site works — test it out! Will we see you in Minnesota in May? What are your Specialty Aspirations? How is your training going?
Life with Dogs is more fun with company — that is for sure. I hope you will join us. Here and/or in Minnesota.
