Oh, Universe...

This site has been giving me fits during a busy time of the semester, and so I have not had capacity to deal with it — I still don’t.

BUT I had a break between all the error messages and managed to upload this slide show of Claire’s recent return to obedience…

How fortunate that Ken Catron was there doing photos!

That amazing run represents resilience — hers and mine.

The Universe continues to test us though — a few days after that run, Claire’s left meniscus tore; she has surgery again (#7) tomorrow. Recovery should be straightforward, and we hope to be back in the obedience ring in June (everything crossed).

I look forward to the next AMAZING day — the Universe may give us challenges but it also gives us days like the one reflected in that slide show.

Please think good thoughts for Claire tomorrow — and if the Universe is pummeling you right now, go buy a lottery ticket because change is assured.

Wildflowers! (updated)

We have some recent photos of Wildflowers to share but let’s start with their dad…

Kelley VanArsdale photo

Major is the father of both the Sparklers and the Wildflowers, and the grandfather of the Bright Stars.

Now age 8+ years, Major is definitely not ready for retirement. His official name is GCH CH Pinnacle's Josey Wales RN FDC AXP AJP SCN SIN SEN CGC TKN ATT DD — he is one very accomplished and versatile dog. Major is also so very kind — I love that boy for so many reasons, and am grateful to his humans for letting him sire litters with both Sparkle and Daisy.

The Wildflowers are approaching their second birthday, and seeing these photos reminds me how maturity changes a Berner.

Just look at how mature Wildflower Kjempe is now!

GORGEOUS! He is living his best life — and I sure mean that — with Mariya in Colorado.

His littermate, Kadi, probably wishes she had the Colorado snow to play in — but at least she has her wonderful Aunt Jannu…

Lupine gets to play dress-up and have all kinds of fun in her wonderful and interesting life…

“What’s Up, Buttercup?”

“Just hanging out with my squad, the Buttercups.”

That is a rare still moment for Buttercup — her life is filled with fun activities and friends.

The litter’s Mr. Congeniality, Zeus…

Penny shares such lovely photos capturing his beloved life with their family.

Pozy Clarkia takes after Sparkle in that she is a constant deliverer of “stuff” — in this case, an elk antler chew (from a company that picks up the shed antlers — not from a dead elk!)…

I am so grateful to Bridget for all the ways Kitsap is enjoying his best life…

He is also a Wildflower doing very cool things.
