Scenes from the Yard

Lori had this made for the MN National Specialty a few years back and now it has a perfect permanent home.

The dog on the flag is Zoey, Capella’s great-grandma 🩷 I took that photo in Montana at my house. Yes, it had a beautiful view. No, I do not miss that haunted house at all.

My perfect Boise yard got even more perfect — I surprised the kids with this yesterday.

Berkeley with Sparkle and Capella

It is a BIG hit 🏆 In fact, they insisted on having dinner in the loft and then hanging out playing on their Switches wrapped up in blankets (and my sweatshirts!) as the sun went down.

Who wears it better?

Sparkle continues to do well but still needs the donut because she has not fully healed from her bout of licking. I have promised her a real donut when her penance donut is completed 🍩

Happy Saturday, Friend ❤️

An Easy Choice Can Still Be Hard

We are on a quick adventure.

Sparkle had chemo on Tuesday and so far, so good.

This is new Grand Master Draft Dog, Bright Star Zuber, with Alison at the recent North Carolina Draft test.

Such a lovely photo of a talented team 🌟

I have made the decision not to attend the upcoming National Specialty (in Gettysburg, PA) for a couple of reasons. First, I am unwilling to leave Sparkle behind and it is not a trip that she should make at this point in her life; she has to be the priority. Second, the timing of the Specialty is not good for what I hope is in store for Capella and the planned N Litter (🙏🍀).

Sad 😔 but it just makes sense to stay home, all things considered. I will miss Lori’s lasagna and hugging all my friends and so much more.

Sometimes the right decision is still a really hard decision.

Sigh.

Happy Thursday!
