Lupine!

I love looking back on these baby photos — this is little Lupine.

Jennifer sends us this Happy Birthday Update:

I can’t believe the puppies are four already.  It makes me happy and sad.  Sad because there is always a little sadness, for me, in watching our Berners age even a little bit.  Happy because, particularly with Lupine, I’ve gotten to watch her blossom (really no pun intended for the Wildflowers :) into a more confident and playful dog and a master at her unique way of keeping life fun.

She may not be out in the competitive dog world, but she is has a major role in our lives and I think she’s really happy here!

Lupine has become much more confident on walks and with new people.

She still doesn’t really appreciate the presence of any unknown dogs in her life.  But I think that’s very reasonable given that I welcome new dogs, but not unknown people :)

She loves to head to the mountains to hike and hang around a campfire and she loves to go for walks on all the routes we’ve mapped out that don’t have loose dogs.

But her passion in life appears to be honing her ability to steal shoes right from under our noses and creating shoe piles in the house or somewhere in the yard and then watching silently as we find the piles.  Her favorite things seems to be the moment that we make a big production out of finding the piles and pretending to be so upset about it.

Her other favorite things are giving hugs and rolling in the freshly mowed grass or any kind of poop she can find.

Sparkle says, “💩?! Clearly, we are related!”

Thank you to Jennifer and family for Lupine’s perfect-for-her life and HAPPY BIRTHDAY LUPINE!

What's Up, Buttercup?

Baby Buttercup.

Just saying, “Buttercup” makes me happy! And as you read her update, you will see that our little Miss Buttercup continues to spread happiness and joy — Georgia shares this fun report:

“WOW! For years already.

Buttercup continues to amuse and delight us every day.  I have never had a dog who offered up behaviors like Buttercup does.  Every morning when I’m drinking my first cup of coffee in bed (thank you Patty!) Buttercup starts throwing behaviors at us without being cued to do it…”Do you want ‘rollover’?   How about ‘dead bug’?  I can be a shy dog and cover my eyes with my paws!….”

Over and over and over again until we laugh and then she jumps to her feet and runs over for a treat.

Laughing is the criteria that Buttercup is aiming for and she’s perfected her antics.  She will invent behaviors that she thinks might amuse or combine two behaviors  like running backwards then dropping to a rollover first one direction then the other all done with a manic speed.

We’re either a really easy audience or Buttercup is one funny girl!”

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Thank you, Georgia (and Patty)! And HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUTTERCUP!!!!

Wildflower Birthdays

Our Birthday Celebration continues!

Baby Kadi.

Eden sends us this happy report: “Kadi is an exuberant dog that makes you smile and laugh with her attitude. A lovely working dog that is a joy to train. Currently we are training in agility, tracking, and obedience. She is well started in carting with solid foundation work. Her jump height card is 24.25” and her last weight at the Vet’s was 88.6 lb.

She has been healthy with her last Vet visits related to a cyst that I found and just wanted to check.

We love our Kadi dog  Lovely photo by Kim Perry.”

Thank you, Eden, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY KADI!

This is Baby Chase with Daisy.

Since Lawrence retired, he and his dogs have been on fire! This is Chase’s official name: Kaibab's Keltic Warrior CD RI FDC DCAT SWA SCE DJ CGC CGCA CGCU TKN ATT BN-V FTN NDD MDD. And check out how handsome Chase is! Also, I think he and Kadi look a lot alike.

I am super excited to see Lawrence and Chase this weekend — they are coming to Missoula to do dock diving and Fast CAT at our local four day show.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHASE!

And speaking of shows…

Capella was Best of Breed again for another four point GCH major 🎉 Apparently, bald is her lucky color 🤷🏼‍♀️

Have a fun and happy day!
