Weekend Fun & Librela Update

Wildflower Chase has had two great weekends in a row. This past weekend he first finished his Scent Work Container Excellent title, and then he earned a novice title from AKC’s new Fetch program.

The previous weekend saw Team Chase in Colorado where Chase finished his Master Draft Dog title!

Congratulations to Lawrence and Chase on two excellent weekends.

Sparkler Kiri also had an amazing weekend.

She qualified in both Utility and Open B on Saturday and Sunday, earning two High Combined awards and two UDX legs!

That is a REALLY Big Deal. Congratulations to Alison and her lovely partner, Kiri 💖

I have an update on Harper’s Librela injection, which she received on Thursday.

I observed a positive impact on Day Three. She actually ran when we headed out for our walk, and her movement that was much more free and easy. Harper B for Bestie is also getting up easier.

I am impressed.

Claire continues to do very well 🍀

Claire

I am currently in a state of paranoia about my dogs — totally understandable. This happens every time something big happens with one of them. It will pass but in the meantime, I took Harper to the vet just because I am paranoid and she is an older lady.

All good. SO good.

Although Harper B for Be Happy is doing so well, she does struggle to get up from the floor without the area rugs because — well — she is 12.5 years old. And so we started her on Librela, which is a new option for dogs with osteoarthritis. It is a monthly injection and works differently than something like Rimadyl, which Harper will also continue to take.

Sparkle — just because she is so darn cute.

And just to round things out and make sure every girl is included today, here is Pozy in the middle with Sparkle and Capella on either side of her.

Update

I was playing Zoom cards with my sisters — with Claire at my feet since the last time I had a Zoom with my sisters, all hell was unleashed — and I dropped a random card, which landed perfectly — and apparently lightly —on Claire’s head. She didn’t even move. Is this a sign?

Do you read cards?! Is there a message in this?

In other news, I hung a shade.

There was a lot of swearing involved but it is done and perfect. The part that is most amazing is that I correctly measured for said shade — I am an incredible 3 for 3 in the DIY Shade Measurement and Hanging category! ⭐️

There is a message in that as well — it involves tragedy and opportunities and transformation and cool things like that.

But I have a house to finish up and so those words will have to wait a bit.
