Moonshadow Pip is Two (and perfect)

We have another Moonshadow Birthday Update — Pip! He lives here in Montana with Sandhano and Paul. You may recall that Pip was the Tiny Titan in his litter — he is not so tiny anymore!

Sandhano reports that Pip is doing so well, and describes him as “the best dog ever.” Isn’t that awesome?! All dogs should be so well regarded ❤️

Pip has a wonderful family to love and friends to play with him…

Sandhano and Paul are active in the lives of their four grandchildren and report that Pip, “is so great with babies and 4-year-olds!!  He loves to monitor the food drops under the high chairs!!” That reminded me of the photo of his brother, Wally, on high chair duty 😂 Smart boys!

When the snow and ice melt — July? — I am looking forward to seeing Pip and his family again. It has been too long. In the meantime, how wonderful it is to know he is beloved. #gratitude

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PIP!

Moonshadow Wally!

We have a fun birthday update from Samantha:

“Moonshadow Wally!

He’s the very best dog. Truly. He has brought more love, joy, happiness, laughter and affection to our home in the last 2 years than we EVER thought possible! The 4 of us all joke that we are all “Wally’s favorite”, because he truly makes everyone feel that way. He has so much love to give, and he somehow knows what each of us individually needs, and delivers in those ways, every single day.

He’s the easiest dog, with the best disposition. He’s an eager + quick learner, will do anything for a treat, and is so friendly to anyone (and it’s many!) big or small, who comes up and says “hello” to him!

He loves other puppies and dogs (especially his new Great Pyrenees puppy cousin) , and is the most gentle guy around kids / babies / toddlers.

He’s trustworthy + dependable, and has proven over and over again that he’s our very own “Good Dog Carl” when there’s tiny (even tinier than our own!) little kiddos around.

He has road tripped to several hotels with us (we have a hard time leaving him behind) and he has always been invited back… he has very good hotel manners and especially enjoys the elevator rides + extra pets from new friends. :)

He has taken a few ferry boat rides, which he slept through, but really enjoyed for the few minutes that he was awake.

He most recently ventured to Vancouver Canada and loved being a “city boy” and taking walks along the waterfront and to the coffee shop every morning.

He LOVES his dog toys, and plays with them multiple times every day. He gets to excited + squeaks them + throws them around in excitement. He plays fetch (only really with toys, not balls) really well with our son Cruz!

Lulu (9) loves dressing him up and celebrating all(!) the holidays with him, and he has zero hesitation participating!

We love him and tell him so many times a day what a good boy he is, we are all just smitten with him and are so thankful for all he has brought to our family!

Happy (belated) Birthday Moonshadows!!”

Thank you, Samantha and family — what a wonderful life! HAPPY BIRTHDAY WALLY!!

A Moonshadow and a Bright Star and Two Good Humans and a Third Time

I am pleased to report that Moonshadow Kash is doing well…

Like a couple of others, his human is busy with life right now but she sent that fun photo and let me know Kash is just fine ❤️

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KASH!

Also doing just fine are these two…

Zipper Club?! 😂

Bright Star Atlas wants a shirt that says, “I survived my mom and dad being gone for months — but barely.

And Grandma Cindy — who took care of Kira and Jay’s family during that time — DEFINITELY needs a shirt, a medal, and a long vacation.

Claire

Our draft team of Claire and Sundance is also part of the heart transplant story.

We were entered in the Helena test last September when Jay and Kira got word the heart was available — so Cindy left for Utah to be with Kira and Jay, and I went to Boise to take over with the kids and dogs. No Helena draft test for Sundance and Claire.

Suzanne and I knew that was a possibility and so we had entered the Minnesota draft test in October as our back-up plan.

We were all set for our Big Adventure (think Thelma and Louise — with dogs instead of Brad Pitt).

And then Suzanne got Covid. No Minnesota draft test for us.

Third time is a charm, right?! Our Sundance/Claire team is entered at the Specialty — which is in 33 days!

SO excited.

And a very Happy Tuesday to you!
