Today we hear from our Texan Moonshadow — Andy.

Jasen shares:

“Andy Moonshadow has been a blessing to my home. The respect he gives to his Great Aunt Shasta who is over 13 years old warms my heart.

Andy has lots of energy, and can get excited any time I stand up. He likes to bark, jump and run around like a chicken without a head.

Andy has been working on Obedience as his first skill. He is doing a Foundation II class which works on skills up to utility. He is also in a Novice Obedience Class. Andy is fast.

Andy enjoys his walks the most. He get to hang out with his buddies!”

Thank you, Jasen. FAST indeed. Andy certainly does have a very active social life — I have seen the photo evidence. And I am so excited to see Andy and Jasen in two months at the National Specialty!!

Moonshadow Merlin Birthday

Today we get a birthday update from another Montana Moonshadow: Merlin.

Megan shares,“He's been doing great!

His favorite things are food, love from his people, food, hanging out with his local Bozeman Berner buddies, food, raw bones, snow, hiking and food.

We have been on lots of adventures in the past year through all the seasons and he's an awesome hiking buddy.

We are so happy that he's part of our family and can hardly believe he's already two years old!”

Moonshadow Birthday Boys

Let’s celebrate the Moonshadow Boys, starting with Obi and Scout, whose humans are good friends.

Linda sends us our Moonshadow Obi update:

“Obi loves food, snow, doggie friends, car rides, food, walks in the hills, lying out front watching the world go by, and food.

He is smart, affectionate, funny, cheerful, sensitive, a full body lap dog, and understands a lot more English than he lets on.”

What a fun life Obi has! Thank you, Linda, for the update and HAPPY BIRTHDAY OBI!

Laurie ends us this Happy Birthday Scout update:

“Perfection. That sums up my beautiful little Scouty. He is truly my dream Berner. He wakes up every morning with a huge smile, a rapidly wagging tail and ready for whatever the day will bring.

He is such a happy and affectionate dog. He loves to lay his entire body on me whenever we try and watch TV, blocking the TV so I only pay attention to him. Although he does enjoy watching TV himself time to time, it’s so funny to see. When we had our first major snow I couldn’t get him to come inside, he was in his element for sure.

We rented a cabin on the beach in May and he and my niece spent a lot of time running on the beach. He jumps like a kangaroo when he’s excited

He still has a lot of puppy character in him and I hope that never changes.

He is such a goofball, he makes everyone laugh and loves to be the center of attention. And if he’s not, he will go and grab his loudest squeaky toy (usually his pink alligator or a dinosaur with a flamingo floatie around it that I call. “Flamingosauras”, that’s his favorite.) and will sit in the middle of the room squeaking it until someone gives him attention. It’s adorable.
