I would not let a day go by without posting — even if late.
What a day.
I absorbed questions, anger, disappointments, uncertainties, good news, bad news, happy people, upset people, and so on. I swore a lot. I cried. I declared I would never have another litter. I talked to my Perfect Sister (the attorney) three times, Cindy once, Kris O. once and texted with people who are so wonderful and supportive — thank you. You know who you are.
More swearing and cleaning and more cleaning and laundry and making dog food and feeding everyone and tending Claire. I did paperwork. I taught a class. I met with a student via Zoom. I made Dear Husband read an email that I knew would hurt my feelings — he said it would and just deleted it for me.
A person can only bear so much, after all.
But always — wonderful, happy, well-tended and very loved puppies who are the center of everything right now.
I took multiple puppies to the vet — this is Dr. Card with Andy. EVERYONE loves Andy.
I am driving four puppies to Bozeman tomorrow to meet their new humans at the airport. Those puppies needed health certificates for the trip and so we got all that handled. I really need an executive assistant — I should have thought of that some weeks ago!
It is almost four hours to Bozeman and so I will be gone all day — Dear Husband will be in charge. I may not have an executive assistant but I have a Dear Husband — and he is pretty darn awesome to do all that he does.
Tomorrow the real leavings begin. Are you ready?
I am teaching a research class right now, and am a fan of “learn by doing” when possible — in research, that is possible.
This is a LINK to our term project exploring perceptions about Covid vaccination — if you have not already completed the anonymous survey, we would be so grateful to you for sharing 3 - 4 minutes of your time to do it.
All is well here — just really, really busy and complicated.

Update on Claire: She is doing GREAT!
